Doshka — online whiteboard for teamwork and lessons
Privacy Policy
How Doshka processes personal data. This policy follows the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Personal Data Protection”.
2. What data we process
- Board owners: name, email address and password. The password is stored only as an irreversible hash — nobody knows it, including the Operator.
- Participants: the name a participant enters when joining a board. It is kept in their browser and visible to other participants while they are on the board; it is not stored separately on the server.
- Board content and uploaded files — to the extent they contain personal data.
- Technical data: IP address and request time may be processed briefly by the server to run and protect the Service.
3. Why
- creating an account and logging in;
- running boards: storing content, showing it to participants, collaborative editing;
- answering requests and notifying about changes to the Service;
- protecting the Service from abuse.
We don't sell data, show ads or use third-party analytics.
4. Legal grounds
Data is processed to perform the Terms of Use to which the user is a party, and otherwise with the user's consent given when signing up or joining a board. Consent can be withdrawn (see section 8).
5. Where and how long data is stored
Data is stored on servers in the Republic of Belarus. By agreement with an organization, its data can be stored on a server in the European Union; data from different regions is never mixed.
Data is kept while the account or board exists. A deleted board stays in the owner's trash for 30 days — nobody can open it, but the owner can restore it; then it is erased from the server, and from backups within a further 14 days. The owner can also erase a board from the trash right away. An account is deleted on request to support@doshka-online.by.
For version history, the server keeps board snapshots: all from the last 24 hours, older ones one per day, for no longer than 30 days. Snapshots are deleted together with the board.
6. Who receives the data
If you are a member of an organization in Doshka, its administrators and members see your name and email, and the organization's boards are visible to all its members. Board content is visible to the participants the owner gave a link to. Servers are provided by a hosting provider that processes data only on the Operator's instructions. Data is disclosed to others only where required by law.
If a YouTube clip is added to a board, it is loaded from YouTube (Google) servers, and that service receives the viewer's IP address under its own rules.
7. Cookies and browser storage
The Service uses no cookies for advertising or tracking. Browser storage (localStorage) keeps the board owner's login key, the chosen language, the participant's name and the personal shape library. So that edits survive a lost connection, browser storage (IndexedDB) keeps a copy of opened boards; it is erased when you log out. You can remove all of this by clearing site data in your browser settings.
8. Your rights
- get information about how your data is processed;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have processing stopped and your data deleted;
- withdraw your consent to processing;
- complain about the Operator to the National Personal Data Protection Center of the Republic of Belarus.
To exercise your rights, write to support@doshka-online.by. We will reply within the time limits set by law.
9. Data protection
The connection to the website is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to the servers is restricted. An invitation link is a key to the board: the owner can change it at any time, after which the old one stops working.
10. Changes to the policy
The new version is published on this page with its date. Board owners are notified of significant changes by email.
